Climate change and child health

In April 2009, the Children's Institute joined 36 organisations in 17 cities, in 10 countries across the globe, to discuss the impact of climate change on children’s health. The international video conference was organised by the Global Alliance for Children’s Rights and Health Equity. Established in 2008, the Alliance is a group of multi-disciplinary child health and advocacy organisations committed to improving the health and well-being of children by advancing knowledge about children’s rights, health equity and social justice; and by translating these principles into child advocacy and health practices.
